The landscape of academic publishing is undergoing rapid transformations. Rising costs, paywalls, and profit-driven models have sparked critical debates about who has access to knowledge—and who benefits from sharing this knowledge. At the same time, innovative diamond open access initiatives are paving the way for a more transparent, inclusive, and sustainable publishing ecosystem.
Join us on Monday, September 22nd, for “The Future of Academic Publishing”, a symposium bringing together leading voices from pioneering initiatives that challenge the status quo. Speakers include representatives from SciPost, the Journal of Robustness Reports, and the Journal of Trial and Error, who will share their visions, successes, and challenges in building open, community-driven alternatives to commercial publishing.
