Open Science Beyond Borders
Join us for talks by academic researchers from UvA and abroad on global access, diversity, and inequalities in research, followed by a Q & A session. Darsha Indrajith (University of Capetown) will talk about epistemic exclusion and redistribution from the South, introducing a framework for Global North researchers who wish to decolonize their institutions. Fabio de Castro (University of Amsterdam) will introduce transdisciplinarity and explain how it can transform research practices. Alice Fleerackers (University of Amsterdam) will tell us how science journalists can amplify existing inequities in the Open Science ecosystem.
