We are always happy to expand our Amsterdam-based team and are on a constant lookout for fellow open science enthusiasts. Are you passionate about open research practices and would like to join one of our teams? Join us now!

We aim to organize monthly events, such as lectures, debates, and get-togethers. We contact people who could provide students with a unique perspective to (open) science, and arrange a time and place (either on-site or online) for an event. We have also organized trips, movie nights and open science-related pub quizzes. We are always open to new ideas.

We are looking for active members who like event planning, and are comfortable reaching out to researchers. We have biweekly meetings during which we brainstorm about future events and assign tasks, and hope that you try your best to attend these meetings.

We also manage all SIOS’s social media platforms and promote the initiative and its events. This includes grant applications, collaboration negotiations, writing articles and blog posts, and sending out newsletters.

We are looking for proactive members who enjoy getting to know new people and are comfortable with contacting people and organizations. It is an advantage if you know your way around social media.
